Mobile World Congress, HTC Desire has 816

The house has a Taiwanese phablet and aounces ( without show it ), the successor to the One. Then ruin everything by launching an app that allows you to share the computing power of your processor. Wait, WHAT?

Barcelona - On stage, Cher Wang , chairman of HTC. " Many people have called the HTC One(samsung galaxy s3 cases for girls) the best smartphone in the world ." Series One, with the mini and the Ultra is the one that sold the most in the history of HTC. " Now , the best smartphone in the world is going to become even better ," but it is said to be unveiled today on the big screen , in fact, there is only one date : March 25, 2014 , the day chosen by HTC for the next event inteational , London and New York.

On stage, the CEO , Peter Chou : " Good design is not just about beauty, but also user experience , the combination of hardware and software. Iovation means creating something new. People are happy when it has to do with beautiful things, especially if they are beautiful . " And here's popping out of his pocket the HTC Desire 816.

Now the first details : HD720 screen 5.5 " quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.6 GHz with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8GB of inteal memory expandable via microSD up to an additional 128GB . The battery is 2600 mAh . 4G/LTE coectivity .

Other equipment: Front stereo speaker with BoomSound and , of course, updated interface Sense 5.5 with Blinkfeed and Zoe . The camera comes with 13- megapixel back-illuminated sensor and f/2.2 aperture : it can shoot video in full HD at 1080p, as well as the 5 megapixel front camera , which also has the wide angle. " Perfect for selfie ."

HTC Desire arrives in March to 399 816 € - initially in Europe.

It goes fast , too well . Back on stage to aounce HTC Cher Wang "Power to give ," a campaign to raise social awareness , Wang says. Onstage Professor Giai de Fabritiis to explain it : from what I understand - while it is charging , through the dedicated application - your phone can share a part of its computing capacity . A sort of Inteet of Smartphones ? De Fabritiis continues : "The campaign HTC(best samsung galaxy s4 case) allows you to use your processor to achieve the research objectives that need to be processed very powerful machines ."

Or am I missing something , or Taiwan for the voice of a certain DataGate never arrived : it does not seem appropriate to ask the historical moment to share your smartphone on trust. Perhaps best explained with a campaign . But today, the explanation seems over here , I do not think anyone in the room has really understood what we were talking about . Of course I did not.

Back on stage CEO and Chairman , closes the presentation , all at home . I am puzzled .

Update : The phone is not available here and at the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona - venue - are exposed only three shells do not work ( and you can not touch ) and one under glass with a demonstration video that runs uecessarily .

I find the statement of the existence of a Desire 610 , which was not even nominated : mid-range phone , the screen has qHD 4.7 " , dual-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.2 GHz , 1GB of RAM and inteal memory up to 8GB , expandable via microSD up to an additional 128GB . Confirmed the HTC Sense interface with 5 Blinkfeed .

Among the multimedia facilities , the front stereo speaker (just like the 816) and the BoomSound technology , the camera is 8 megapixels with f/2.4 aperture , capable of gure video in Full HD 1080p . The front camera is 1.3 megapixel capable of shooting 720p HD video . The battery finally is 2040 mAh .

Update 2: we found something more on the app "Power to give ." The initiative aims to build a supercomputer using the computing power of mobile is not in use, by sending packets of data to be processed and sent back to the sender automatically. The project was developed in collaboration with Professor David Anderson of the University of Berkeley and will initially be used to study cancer , AIDS and Alzheimer's. We are in the field of distributed computing , but too naive explanation that was given did not convince anyone, there is still the issue of machines that automatically coects to your smartphone that is gentle enough to be aounced in 4 minutes without any details. We will be back on as soon as possible .
